  • Salary: 25583 - 27269 pro rata (21680 - 23109 per annum)
  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week 38 weeks per year

Langer Academys Felixstowe Specialist Severe Learning Difficulties Hub is seeking a passionate and dedicated High Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of 15 amazing children with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Speech and Language Development: Take ownership of speech and language interventions working closely with specialist teams to implement tailored communication strategies for each child.

Bespoke Curriculum Design:Collaborate with the class teacher to support the creation and delivery of individualised curriculums ensuring every childs learning needs are met.

Leadership and Support: Confidently direct and guide other staff members in providing exceptional support for the children ensuring a high standard of care and education at all times.

Teaching Delivery: Deliver high-quality lessons in the absence of the teacher maintaining a nurturing and structured learning environment.

Ideal Candidate:

  • A qualified HLTA or equivalent experience (training can be provided) with a passion for working with children who have severe learning difficulties.
  • Under the guidance of the class be confident in directing and supporting a team of teaching assistants and other staff.
  • Experience in speech and language development and a commitment to supporting the communication needs of each child.
  • Creative and adaptable with the ability to design and deliver personalised learning experiences.
  • Strong knowledge of SEN (Special Educational Needs) and a track record of supporting children with EHCPs.
