Job Summary

FMP is seeking multiple HR Specialists to support a Federal Contract. Areas of specialty include Labor and Employee Relations Staffing Classification Policy Writing and general Admin Support.

What Youll Do

  • Demonstrate a broad range of labor and employee relations expertise to be able to consult with HR leadership.

  • Provide guidance on HR principles concepts and practices while implementing business objectives and strategic goals. Efforts will include position management and organizational design sufficient to resolve complex difficult and unprecedented classification issues.

  • Provide expert advice consultation and training on a variety of position classification and organization issues. Review organizational documents to ensure the organizational structure supports the requested title occupational series and grade of the positions.

Note: Specific responsibilities will vary depending on client assignments and project needs.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Due to the nature of government contracts candidates must be U.S. citizens eligible for security clearance

  • Bachelors degree in plus 2-7years relevant HR experience preferably in the federal environment.

  • Subject matter expertise of the full range of federal staffing and a wide range of other federal personnel management laws regulations executive orders functions theories concepts policies practices and techniques and the interrelationship of the various personnel disciplines. Knowledge of the methods and techniques of fact-finding analysis qualitative and quantitative evaluation and diagnosis and concrete action plans to provide appropriate HR recommendations.

  • Must have technical recent federal experience level of five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in staffing. Degree in HR or related field strongly preferred.

  • Must have subject matter expertise in Federal OPM staffing and merit promotion rules and regulations. Knowledge of and ability to use USA Staffing System sufficient to accurately assess the full functionality of the system and troubleshoot techniques to resolve problems.

  • Prior experience as an HR Specialist in the Executive or Legislative branch highly desired/helpful.

  • Must have exceptional organizational skills and have the ability to juggle multiple priorities. Excellent writing skills with specific attention to detail. Excellent customer service skills. Flexibility with their approach to delivery of work.

  • Prior experience as an HR Specialist in the Executive or Legislative branch highly desired/helpful. The contractor must possess subject matter expertise in federal regulations related to processing the full range of personnel actions and related documents

  • Excellent writing skills with specific attention to detail. Must possess and demonstrate excellent customer service skills.

Location & Work Environment

Onsite in the Washington DC area.
