The Director Rehabilitation Services is responsible for leading planning organizing and evaluating all rehabilitation services within the facility. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality inpatient rehabilitation care oversees daily operations and maintains fiscal responsibility compliance and strategic development of rehabilitation services. The Director collaborates with physicians therapists nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to promote an integrated approach to rehabilitation and ensure a seamless continuum of care following acute medical services.

Essential Functions
- Oversees daily operations of rehabilitation services ensuring high-quality patient care efficiency and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develops and implements department goals objectives and workflow processes to optimize productivity and service delivery.
- Provides leadership and supervision to rehabilitation staff managing recruitment retention training and performance evaluations.
- Ensures compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards including CMS TJC and other governing bodies.
- Monitors and ensures completion of clinical evaluations and assessments to meet regulatory and patient care requirements.
- Manages department budgets resource allocation and financial planning ensuring cost-effective operations while maintaining service excellence.
- Collaborates with hospital leadership and other departments to resolve challenges improve patient outcomes and enhance overall service delivery.
- Develops and executes business development plans expanding rehabilitation services and driving program growth.
- Integrates quality improvement initiatives and patient satisfaction metrics into department planning to enhance service effectiveness.
- Represents the rehabilitation department in hospital meetings committees and performance improvement programs ensuring alignment with facility-wide initiatives.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Physical Therapy Occupational Therapy Speech-Language Pathology Nursing Healthcare Administration or a related field required
- Masters Degree in Healthcare Administration Business Administration (MBA) or a related clinical discipline preferred
- 5-7 years of experience in rehabilitation services healthcare leadership or hospital administration required
- 3-5 years in a management or leadership role required
- Experience in inpatient rehabilitation acute care or post-acute rehabilitation settings preferred
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Strong leadership and team management skills with experience in staff supervision training and performance management.
- Comprehensive knowledge of rehabilitation services therapy modalities and patient care best practices.
- Understanding of healthcare regulations reimbursement models and compliance standards affecting rehabilitation services.
- Proficiency in financial management budgeting and strategic planning for rehabilitation departments.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills fostering interdisciplinary teamwork across departments.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data driving continuous quality and performance improvement initiatives.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills ensuring patient-centered and operationally efficient solutions.
Licenses and Certifications
- PT - Physical Therapist in state of employment required or
- OT - Occupational Therapist Registered in state of employment required or
- SLP - Speech Language Pathologist in state of employment required or
- ST - Speech Therapist in state of employment required or
- RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure in state of employment required
