Position Summary:

Sovah Danville is seeking a PRN Radiology Tech Student to perform various imaging procedures by applicable scope and standards of practice.

Junior Student:

  • Assists the technologist with obtaining radiographs with stationary and fluoroscopic equipment.
  • Assists the technologist with obtaining radiographs with portable units as deemed necessary on the nursing units as well as within theradiology department.
  • Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate.
  • Prepares equipment and supplies.
  • Assists technologists with positioning patients and the performance of imaging procedures.
  • Assures appropriate orders are obtained and followed during the performance of all procedures.
  • Verifies patient identification before the performance of any procedure.
Minimum Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Enrolled in a Program in Radiologic Technology is required.
Required Skills:
  • Requires critical thinking skills decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

    **Requires flexibility in scheduling and ability to work all shift patterns including weekends and holidays to ensure continuity of care and appropriateness of imaging coverage to the patients of Sovah Health - Danville.**
RequiredCertifications/Licenses:
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association (AHA) required.
Minimum Work Experience:
  • Current clinical experience in a Radiologic Technology program.
