Overview
The Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) for English plays a critical role in the educational institution by guiding and inspiring students in their mastery of the English language and literature. This position not only focuses on imparting knowledge of the subject but also encourages students to develop their critical thinking skills and appreciation for literary arts. The PGT English serves as a facilitator and mentor creating an engaging learning environment that fosters growth and encourages students to express themselves both verbally and in writing. By implementing innovative teaching strategies and integrating technology into the curriculum the PGT will help prepare students for academic success and beyond. Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver effective lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
- Facilitate engaging classroom discussions and encourage student participation.

- Stay updated with developments in English education and teaching methods.
- Participate in professional development workshops and training sessions.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance.
- Prepare students for examinations and standardized tests effectively.
Required Qualifications
- Master s degree in English or related field.
- Bachelor s degree in Education strongly preferred.
- Valid teaching certification for secondary education.
- Minimum of 2 years teaching experience at the high school level.
- Proficiency in English language both written and spoken.
- Strong understanding of literature grammar and composition.
- Experience with innovative teaching strategies and methodologies.
- Ability to integrate technology into classroom instruction.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Effective organizational and time management skills.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive atmosphere for diverse student populations.
- Proficient in using educational software and tools.
- Willingness to engage in continuous professional development.
