Job Description
Job Title: SRE/TL
Location: Chennai
Job Type: Full-Time
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Building Science Expert to lead initiatives in sustainable building practices energy efficiency indoor comfort and integrated design strategies. The ideal candidate will not only possess technical expertise but also excel in people management fostering collaboration among multidisciplinary teams to drive impactful solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to optimize energy efficiency and overall building performance.
- Evaluate indoor comfort parameters including thermal acoustic and air quality conditions.
- Lead initiatives with strategic organizations and think-tanks related to Energy Lean Construction Practices.
- Drive decarbonization strategies including low-carbon design and operational efficiency improvements.
- Oversee and mentor a team of building science professionals facilitating skill development and knowledge sharing.
- Cultivate a positive and inclusive team culture ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Manage stakeholder engagement and collaboration across architects engineers and sustainability consultants.
- Utilize building simulation software and data-driven analysis to support sustainable decision-making.
- Provide technical expertise in innovative building materials renewable energy integration and environmental impact assessments.
Qualifications and Experience:
- PHD with minimum 5 years of industrial exp or Master's degree with minimum 10-12 years of industrial exp or equivalent in Building Science / High Performance Buildings / Sustainable
Design / Architecture / Civil Engineering / Construction technologies or equivalent - Proven leadership and people management experience with the ability to mentor and develop talent.
- Basic knowledge in simulation tools such as EnergyPlus IES-VE DesignBuilder or equivalent and life-cycle assessment (LCA) and carbon footprint analysis
- Strong understanding of building codes ASHRAE standards and emerging sustainability trends.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
