Job Description

Working within a program management model and reporting to the Clinical Services Manager in consultation with the Professional Leader the successful candidate will provide quality client-centered occupational therapy services. The successful candidate must be able to work independently and as a contributing member of the interdisciplinary treatment team. You will provide direct patient care including education to patients and families and consultation in the OP Rehab Department- OT Hands Clinic Plastic Clinics/Fracture Clinic Neuro Rehab program WSIB Specialized care program as required.  You may also be required to supervise students. You will practice in accordance with the standards of professional practice and code of ethics as outlined by the COTO.


Qualifications :

  • . or . in Occupational Therapy or equivalent
  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
  • Membership in CAOT or OSOT preferred
  • Experience with splinting and working with post-surgical hands required
  • Experience with psychosocial cognitive perceptual and physical health related assessment and intervention skills addressing occupational performance is an asset
  • Experience with triaging referrals assessment development of treatment plans for clients which may include individualized cognitive-perceptual physical rehabilitation and self-care programs.
  • Experience with WSIB clients and return to work planning
  • Knowledge of evidence-based clinical practice related to hand and upper extremity protocols
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment with excellent time management and organizational skills required
  • Knowledge of evidence-based clinical practice related to hand and upper extremity protocols
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required
  • Good critical thinking and problem-solving skills required
  • Excellent attendance punctuality and work record
  • May be required to travel between and work at all hospital sites

Hours: Currently Days/Evenings (subject to change in accordance with operational requirements)

Minimum: $41.73 per hour
Maximum: $54.79 per hour
