Job Description
Were looking for a Joining Engineer with hands-on experience in automotive Body-in-White (BIW) joining processes to support the development of structurally sound lightweight vehicle bodies using advanced joining technologies.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Support development validation and optimisation of joining processes for BIW applications.
- Work on technologies such as Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) Self-Piercing Riveting (SPR)Resistance Spot Welding (RSW)Adhesive Bonding Laser Welding Flow Drive Screw (FDS).
- Collaborate with design manufacturing and quality teams to deliver production-ready joining solutions.
- Participate in problem-solving root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal manufacturing requirements.
- Work alongside suppliers process engineers and other stakeholders during development and launch phases.

Qualifications :
Experience skills and qualifications required:
- Degree in Mechanical Automotive Manufacturing or Materials Engineering (or equivalent practical experience).
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with one or more BIW joining processes.
- Strong understanding of automotive manufacturing environments and joining best practices.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and process documentation.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
- Knowledge of process validation tooling or joining simulation is a plus.
