A leading nationwide transportation provider is seeking a proactive and customer-oriented Customer Service Representative (CSR) to join their Operations team. This role serves as a vital communication link between customers drivers dispatchers and internal departments helping to ensure seamless transportation services and a high level of customer satisfaction.
The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment demonstrate exceptional communication and organizational skills and possess a strong ability to multitask with accuracy and professionalism.
Act as the primary contact for assigned customer accounts ensuring prompt and effective communication.
Accurately enter update and close load details within internal systems.
Schedule pickup and delivery appointments in alignment with customer needs and carrier availability.
Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely pickups and deliveries.
Proactively communicate updates delays and service issues to customers and internal teams.
Support freight solicitation efforts through phone and email outreach.
Address routine customer inquiries and escalate complex issues to management as needed.
Maintain thorough documentation including service records customer scorecards and reports.
Coordinate with dispatch driver management sales and planning teams to improve service outcomes.
Contribute to process improvements that enhance operational performance and customer experience.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel Outlook).
Basic data entry and documentation management skills.
Prior experience in the transportation or logistics industry preferred.
Familiarity with load entry and TMS (Transportation Management Systems) is a plus.
Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective organizational and time management skills.
Professional demeanor with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Team-oriented with a customer-first mindset.
Adaptable and flexible with a willingness to support shifting priorities.
Valid drivers license.
Must speak English clearly and write legibly; bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening.
Must be able to follow instructions in written verbal or scheduled formats.
Maintain a neat and professional appearance.
