The Opportunity

We are seeking Clinical Nurse Educator specialising in neonatal nursing to support our Special Care Nursery at Westmead Private Hospital. You will also contribute to the strategic plan of the Hospital Education Department as an essential member of the team.

You will be required to:

• Deliver high-quality evidence-based training and support to the staff in the Special Care Nursery.
• Develop implement and evaluate learning and development programs across the facility.
• Provide valuable contributions to the hospitals quality improvement process.
• Carry out team leader duties on shift.
• Deliver high quality evidence-based care to neonates and their families.

Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager you will perform duties with the support and guidance of the Department Manager to ensure a high level of quality patient care is delivered in line with the care values and strategic direction of the Hospital and Ramsay Health Care.

Skills and Experience

You will be a trained nurse with exceptional customer service confident communication and strong interpersonal skills. You will also demonstrate:

• Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
• Minimum 4 years experience in neonatal nursing.
• Post graduate qualification in specialty area desirable
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is desirable
• Proven ability to always act as a positive role model and as a professional
• Team leading experience
• Possess excellent time management skills and well developed clinical problem-solving skills
• A passion for mentoring team members and positively influencing their performance
