Job Description
Job Title: Moulder Operator 1st shift
Location: Burnham ME
Reports To:Manufacturing Manager

ABOUT THE POSITION: The Moulder Operator is responsible for proper operation of the moulder equipment focusing on safety production and quality of the product.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Remove wood from Cobb and place it on the incline chain.
- Be aware of the machines and ensure that all are running smoothly.
- When flow of wood stops clear the jam.
- When the moulder jams up open it and clear the jam. This requires knowledge of the equipment and the ability to use hand tools.
- Use Jump saw to remove bad ends from the boards.
- Enter production numbers into production sheets.
- Must meet quality safety and productions requirements.
- Housekeeping in work area
- Other duties assigned by leader
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Previous Manufacturing or Operator experience a plus
- Mechanical and troubleshooting ability
- Ability to work with cutters and saws
- Ability to coordinate eyes and hands rapidly and accurately and make precise hand movements with speed.
- Legible handwriting
SKILLS/PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Self-starter who is quality minded
- Must work well alone and as a team
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to remain organized and focused in a fast-paced work environment
- Good hand-eye coordination
- Must be safety minded. Use proper body mechanics and proper lifting techniques. Always wear hearing protection safety shoes and safety glasses. Never put your fingers or any other body part into a running machine. Always keep area clean to ensure there is not debris on the floor that could cause you or anyone else to fall.
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED preferred

- Must be able to communicate effectively with team members
- Ability to work in a noisy and dusty environment
- Must be able to safely navigate the production facility OSHA compliant. Appropriate shoes for standing on concrete flooring is recommended
- Ability to work on feet all day
- Ability to work at a moving belt
- Ability to lift up to 30lbs
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Works in manufacturing environment. The noise level in the facility is usually moderate to high. Hearing protection is required and supplied.
