Job Summary
Seeking a Personal Lines Inside Sales Representative that will be responsible for generating revenue for an existing book of business by upselling cross-selling and acquiring new personal lines business. This role combines sales and service functions ensuring timely policy adjustments and delivering exceptional client support.
Responsibilities
- Contact assigned book of business to identify opportunities for upselling cross-selling or acquiring new personal lines business
- Conduct outbound and inbound sales calls to meet or exceed individual sales targets
- Process policy changes endorsements and renewals in a timely manner
- Obtain and compare quotes (re-shop) to ensure competitive coverage and pricing for clients
- Assist clients with claims inquiries liaise with carriers and track claim status until resolution
- Issue and distribute insurance ID cards certificates and other policy documents
- Maintain accurate client records and update agency management systems with policy and contact information
- Collaborate with producers and underwriters to resolve complex client issues and facilitate smooth transactions
Qualifications/Requirements
- Active Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance license required
- 2 years of experience in personal lines insurance sales or account servicing
- Proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals for a book of business
- Strong phone-based selling and negotiation skills
- Solid understanding of personal lines products and endorsements
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle claims inquiries and policy servicing tasks efficiently
- Proficiency with agency management systems quoting platforms and Microsoft Office Suite
- Detail-oriented approach with strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Ability to multitask and prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced environment
