About the Role:

Are you an experienced and confident Support Worker with a passion for making a difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities and complex needs At Aruma we are seeking a dedicated all-rounder to join our Community Team as a Human Rights warrior.

This role is going to beMonday to Friday 9am to 3pm with the potential to includeweekends.

In this role youll support adults young people and children by helping them live with dignity and equality. Youll use your experience with challenging behaviourswhether from work or personal lifeto follow and update support plans that meet each persons unique needs. Building strong respectful relationships with clients their families and the community is key to helping them feel included and empowered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for individuals with behaviours.
  • Implement and review personalised support plans.
  • Build strong relationships with clients families and community stakeholders.
  • Drive clients to appointments and activities as required.
  • Maintain mental alertness throughout.

About You:

  • Passionate about human rights and positive change.
  • Empathetic compassionate and understanding of diverse experiences.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to listen and respond to customer needs.
  • Team player enthusiastic about collaboration and best practices.
  • Must have experience in managing complex behaviours (personal experience accepted).
  • Must be willing to drive.
  • Must hold or be willing to obtainNDIS Worker Screening Check Working with Children Check (WWCC) First Aid & CPR certification.
