Physician Assistant Surgery Permanent Role Location: Garland TX 75044
Shift: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
Guaranteed: 40 Hours
Compensation: Based on experience
Essential Functions: - Assess physical and mental condition of patients by performing comprehensive or problem-focused physical exams and medical histories.
- Order collect interpret and evaluate laboratory and other diagnostic tests to assess patient problems and healthcare needs.
- Prescribe recommend and employ medical drug therapies or other related therapeutic treatments and procedures.
- Perform indicated procedures within approved policies and guidelines considering efficacy safety and cost.
- Develop and implement comprehensive outcomes-based treatment plans using evidence-based practices and in collaboration with physicians and other team members.
- Evaluate patient response to care and adjust treatment as needed.
- Counsel patients and families on treatment plans medication use nutrition side effects and health promotion.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records including treatment plans and outcomes.
- Initiate consultations or referrals when conditions exceed scope of practice.
- Provide consultation-level services relevant to the provider s specialty and training.
- Manage patients in healthcare settings beyond the clinic including inpatient or emergency services.
- Perform invasive procedures as appropriate to scope of practice and expertise under physician delegation.

- Ability to develop and implement outcomes-based treatment plans.
- Skilled in counseling patients about health conditions behavior modification and treatment options.
- Ability to interpret and evaluate diagnostic test results.
Qualifications: - Education: Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Experience: Less than 1 year of relevant experience required (new graduates welcome)
Licensure/Certification:
- Current license to practice as a Physician Assistant in the state of Texas
- Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (must be obtained within 30 days of hire or transfer)
