Nurse Practitioner-Pulmonology Permanent Role

- Guaranteed: 40 Hours
- Compensation: Based on experience.
Position Summary: The Pulmonology Nurse Practitioner (NP) provides advanced care to patients with acute and chronic respiratory conditions in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare providers. The NP will assess diagnose and treat patients while promoting disease prevention and wellness through education and evidence-based care.
Key Responsibilities: - Conduct comprehensive physical exams and obtain medical histories.
- Diagnose and manage pulmonary conditions such as asthma COPD interstitial lung disease and respiratory infections.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests including pulmonary function tests chest imaging and labs.
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on clinical findings and evidence-based practices.
- Prescribe medications and therapies consistent with scope of practice and guidelines.
- Provide patient and family education on disease processes medication adherence and lifestyle modifications.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and follow clinical protocols.

Required Qualifications: - Education: Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Experience: Less than 1 year of NP experience accepted.
Licensure/Certification:
- Current Texas RN License or RN license with compact privilege.
- Current Texas APRN license.
- Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner for the pulmonology patient population.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (must be obtained within 30 days of hire).
