Operations Officer needed to join a newly established team responsible for client onboarding document management and operational support across our suite of financial products.
Tasks
- Gather verify and process client documentation for credit applications periodic reviews and Know Your Business (KYB) assessments
- Conduct Customer Due Diligence (CDD) checks and escalate concerns or unusual activity in accordance with AML procedures and internal policies.
- Collaborate with Compliance MLRO and Product Managers to resolve onboarding issues and documentation discrepancies.
- Set up and update client profiles in core banking systems ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Provide operational support for retail deposit products including handling client inquiries and maintaining account records.
- Track and input product-level data for reporting performance monitoring and trend analysis.
- Assist in refining processes and managing operational costs under the supervision of the Operations Manager.
- Participate in marketing initiatives or customer outreach related to deposit products when required.
- Maintain well-structured and accurate physical and digital filing systems.
- Draft and update internal standard operating procedures as needed.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company procedures at all times.
- Take part in audits internal reviews and cross-functional projects as assigned.
- Suggest enhancements for operational tools and workflows to improve team efficiency.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 years experience in an operational or client servicing role within the financial services sector.
- Secondary level education (Ordinary / Advanced Level) is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and fluency in English.
- Organized self-motivated and capable of managing tasks independently.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook Word Excel).
- High attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.
- Trustworthy and discreet when handling sensitive customer data.
- Team-oriented with the ability to contribute positively to a diverse environment.
- Flexible and open to change with a proactive mindset toward new processes.
