Job Description
Abilene Christian University is affiliated with the fellowship of the Church of Christ. All qualified applicants for these positions must be professing Christians and be active faithful members of a congregation of the Churches of Christ and willing to support the Christian mission and purpose of the university.
- The successful candidate will join a collaborative department community of scholars who emphasize undergraduate research and student engagement with public history. Our department serves majors in history public history social studies and history education and minors in global and area College of Arts Humanities and Social Sciences is committed to building and supporting a diverse inclusive and equitable community of students and scholars.
- Rank and salary are open and will be based on level of education and experience.
- Consideration of applications begins immediately continuing until the position is submission of materials is encouraged.
- Position to begin in August 2025 or January 2026.
- Candidates with experience guiding undergraduates towards secondary social studies or history education careers or with firsthand experience in 7-12 teaching are especially welcome.
- PhD in History preferred ABD considered.
