Under the general direction of the Operating Room Nurse Manager the orthopedic supply technologist is responsible for providing direct patient care in support of the hospitals orthopedic program. The orthopedic supply technologist works with surgeons Operating Room personnel Emergency Department personnel and nursing staff and is responsible for the operation of surgical equipment patient casting the application of traction and therapeutic equipment. On call rotation required.
Required Certifications:
Certified Orthopedic Technologist
BLS within 3 months of hire
NH Med. Tech Registry upon hire.
Hours
4 10 hour shifts with one set day off - 7am-5:30pm
Heavy Call Requirement. Call hours are7:00 am - 5:30 pm with 24 hour coverage for holidays and weekends - rotating.
