Job Description
Buehlers Fresh Foods is an employee-owned chain of 13 grocery stores located in northeast Ohio. Our employees share a genuine concern for quality and to take care of the customer. We are always Putting People First whether it be our customers or our employees.
We are looking for an employee who can join us as a Full-time (30-40 hrs per wk) Part-time (20-30 hrs per wk) or a Seasonal (up to 20 hrs per week) team member. Our Food Service teammates love to prepare and serve food while following established food production programs and procedures.
- Operate the grill fryers and related equipment
- Set-up organize and prepare food using established production procedures and systems
- Comply with sanitation health and personal hygiene standards and housekeeping to keep the work area clean
- Observe proper food handling techniques
- Store food properly and safely mark the date and item.
- Assist foodservice team with any food preparation that needs completed
- Attained at least 18 years of age; or if age 16-17 cannot operate any equipment (slicer buffalo chopper etc.)
- Able to meet the requirements to occasionally stand reach lift bend kneel stoop climb push and pull items weighing 50# and occasionally 80#
- Manual dexterity; auditory and visual skills; and the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures; and can do simple math problems
- Able to work within our deli/kitchen environment that includes equipment such as an oven stove dishwasher slicer coffee machine steamer mixer and chefs knivesso frequently you will be exposed to heat steam fire and noise
- Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individual with disability to perform the essential functions
- Must be available to be scheduled 20-30 hrs a week including nights and weekends based on department needs.
- Line Cook experience but not required. We are always excited to train a new teammate!
