Otter Valley High School is seeking a floating substitute to begin August 2025. Schedule follows the student calendar 7 hours per day $18.00/hr. The floating substitute is responsible for providing classroom coverage for any teacher/staff absence within their 7 hours per day. The floating substitutes assignment will be provided daily and in the event there is no absence at the primary assigned school they may be assigned to another school for that teacher-provided instructional activities that contribute to a positive environment to assist students to be actively engaged in meaningful learning experiencesProvide classroom behavior and academic support to meet the needs of all studentsCollaborate with the instructional teams concerning student educational needs as needed. Maintain connection and communication with cooperating articulates deadlines schedules and procedures to students to ensure that students complete coursework in a timely mannerAssist students with technical support requests that emerge in the classroom Support a variety of programs and software applications as appropriate to complete instructional and administrative tasksParticipate in PD or training as scheduled by building administratorTake accurate attendance using school proceduresMonitor and supervise students to ensure appropriate adherence to school-wide protocolsRefer students who are not complying with course content or program policies to the planning room or administration for necessary interventions.
