Job Description

This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in shaping students futures by coordinating meaningful work placements across our higher education curriculum.

About the Role

As a Work Placement Co-ordinator youll support the planning organisation and monitoring of work placements for HE students. Youll work closely with curriculum teams employers and students to ensure placements are safe enriching and aligned with academic goals.

Essential Criteria

Were looking for someone who can bring the following to the role:

  • A relevant qualification and strong IT skills (including Word and Excel)
  • Experience working with individuals aged 18 and within the education sector
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational and planning abilities
  • A full driving licence and access to a vehicle

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and develop new and existing work placements across HE programmes
  • Conduct Health & Safety assessments and support safeguarding in placement settings
  • Brief students and staff on placement processes and expectations
  • Maintain accurate records and employer databases
  • Liaise with employers students and curriculum teams to monitor placement progress
  • Support students with DBS checks and placement documentation
  • Respond to internal and external placement enquiries
  • Promote a positive student experience and contribute to continuous improvement

Lets Teach Programme
Lets Teach The LETs teach programme supports new members of teaching staff in terms of college systems and key teaching and learning areas including new staff lesson visits and postcard peeps. Each new member of staff has an allocated Lead Practitioner who works closely with them throughout the programme.

Lets Bloom
The LETs Bloom Programme aims to connect our experienced and qualified teachers to share best practice and support continued risk-taking as we continue to add depth to our teaching craft. Teachers volunteer on this one year programme working closely with the Learning Enhancement Team capturing their experimentation in a journal.
