Job Description

Job Title:Consultant in Adult Psychiatry
Grade:Consultant
Location:Stockport Cheshire
Working Hours:40 hours per week
Rate:Competitive details to be discussed upon application

We are seeking a dedicated Consultant in Adult Psychiatry to join our NHS client in Stockport Cheshire. This locum opportunity is available for an immediate start on a short-term contract.

Key Responsibilities
Provide expert psychiatric care within an inpatient setting for adult patients
Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop tailored treatment plans
Lead multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to service development
Offer clinical supervision and support to junior medical staff
Ensure full compliance with the Mental Health Act (MHA) and other relevant legislation

Qualifications & Experience
Full GMC registration
Section 12 approval and Approved Clinician (AC) status
Extensive experience in Adult Psychiatry particularly in inpatient environments
Proven experience in a consultant-level role
