Both of our Nurseries are located in convenient settings within their own private grounds both providing Forest School and Pre-School experiences. The approach is friendly and informal creating an atmosphere conducive to healthy social interaction and sound emotional and physical development in their early years. All children are individuals and the daily routines give them the opportunity to enjoy a wide variety of activities which are tailored to suit their needs.
Overview of role:
Early years educators play a large role in laying the foundations for a childs future learning and development. By planning and providing nurturing and stimulating activities play opportunities and environment they have the opportunity to positively influence a childs prime and specific learning and development leaving an impact on their lives.
Key details:
- Monday to Friday 40 hours per week. Starting time and end time may change e.g. 7am to 4 pm 9 am to 6 pm etc
- All Year Round (52 weeks per year)
- Wage: 7.55 per hour

Apprenticeship details:
- Qualification: Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship Standard
- Duration of course: 16 months
- Training Provider: LMP Education (Rated BEST UK training provider !)
- All learning delivered online/ remotely alongside role.
Full Duties and Responsibilities:
- Carry out daily room checks and report any issues to the management team.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures keeping up to date with any changes.
- Ensure all visitors comply with the nurserys policies and procedures at all times.
- Report any changes in a childs behavior or appearance to the manager especially those that may concern the childs health welfare or development.
- Take responsibility for the children in your group ensuring individual care and attention with regard to their physical intellectual cultural emotional and religious needs.
- Provide quality daycare for children aged 08 years respecting their abilities ethnic cultural and religious backgrounds.
- Promote a sense of identity and self-worth in each child by being sensitive to their ethnic cultural and religious backgrounds as outlined in the equality and diversity policy.
- Create a varied and stimulating program of activities to encourage childrens development completing weekly planning in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- Evaluate weekly plans to align with the EYFS standards.
- Regularly monitor and record each childs development progress identifying areas needing additional support.
- Ensure childrens records are consistently up to date.
- Participate in staff appraisals parent/carer evenings staff meetings training sessions and professional meetings concerning children even outside of regular working hours.
- Develop strong relationships with parents/carers and work in partnership with them to ensure the childrens safety and well-being.
- Be aware of your roles and responsibilities following correct routines and procedures.
- Maintain high cleanliness standards participating in cleaning rotas.
- Communicate confidently and effectively with parents/carers children staff proprietors visitors and external agencies.
- Understand and abide by the confidentiality policy signing a confidentiality agreement.
- Be punctual reliable flexible and ready to work as per your rota. Display a friendly fair and approachable manner at all times.
- Provide cover at the sister nursery as required for both short-term and long-term periods.
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities necessary for the efficient running of the nursery.
Skills & Personal Qualities:
- Enthusiastic and have a genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development
- A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable committed and punctual
- Professional organised and attention to detail
- Previous experience working with children is desirable but not essential
- Confidence in your own ability to want to learn and develop
- Maintain a current DBS on the online system ensuring annual payments are made.
- Provide at least two satisfactory references one of which must be from the most recent employer or college.
- Hold a current First Aid certificate and Food Hygiene certificate attending courses outside of nursery hours when required.
- Complete any training assigned on Noddle Now within the agreed time frame.
