Job Title: Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) Analyst
Location: Cambridge MA (Hybrid Quarterly Onsite Collaboration Required) Clearance Level: Public Trust (or as required by DOT)
Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled HRIS Analyst to support the U.S. Department of Transportations Volpe Center. This role involves managing and delivering scheduled and ad hoc HR reports maintaining SharePoint content and developing data dashboards to support human capital analytics. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in data analysis visualization and stakeholder engagement within a federal or complex organizational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
HRIS Reporting:
* Generate daily biweekly monthly quarterly semiannual and annual HR reports using Microsoft Suite and Tableau.
* Respond to ad hoc reporting requests including data pulls for diversity training and workforce planning.
* Ensure data accuracy timeliness and compliance with quality control standards.
* SharePoint Administration:
* Update and maintain HR content on SharePoint (VNet) and subpages.
* Implement design changes and conduct quarterly maintenance meetings with stakeholders.
* Dashboard Development:
* Assist in the creation and maintenance of HR analytics dashboards using
Microsoft PowerBI.
* Collaboration & Communication:
* Participate in quarterly in-person meetings to align with federal staff on reporting and SharePoint improvements.
* Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Word PowerPoint and SharePoint.
* Experience with Tableau and PowerBI for data visualization and dashboard development.
* Strong understanding of HR data metrics and reporting standards.
* Ability to manage multiple reporting schedules and ad hoc requests.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Experience working in or with federal agencies is preferred.
* Strong organizational and project management skills.
