Salary and Benefits

The salary range is $21999 - $47660 per year depending on education and experience.

The salary is based on the24/25 SEA Certified Salary Schedule.

Springfield Public Schools is located in Springfield Oregon in the heart of the Willamette Valley and serves 185 square miles of the city of Springfield and East/Central Lane County. About the Position

Springfield Public Schools seeks outstanding candidates for the position of Temporary Part-Time (0.5 FTE) Elementary (Grade K-5) Physical Education (PE) teacher atWalterville Elementary School.To support this work successful candidates will possess the following characteristics that support our vision ofEvery Student Every Dayand share our values:

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge and experience withelementaryschool-aged students;
  • Strong understanding of multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) for academics and social/emotional/behavior
    • Knowledge and experience working in a school or district that implements the concepts of Response to Intervention (RtI);
    • Knowledge of school-wide Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS);
  • Demonstrated understanding of and responsiveness to the diverse academic socioeconomic cultural disability gender identity sexual orientation and ethnic backgrounds that characterize a K-12 school community in a manner specific to the position;
  • Strong student relationship building skills and the ability to establish a sound system of classroom routines and management;
  • Establishes effective collaborative working relationships with diverse staff student and community populations.
  • Ability to effectively manage and supervise students and their work.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A valid state of Oregon teaching license with a Physical Education (PE) endorsement;
  • Successfully pass fingerprinting criminal Oregon Department of Education and TSPC background checks.
