Job Summary
Synechron is seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Data Control Executive to join our data management team. This role involves overseeing data quality integrity and compliance across business units by working closely with cross-functional teams. The successful candidate will utilize strong technical understanding of emerging technologies like cloud IoT and blockchain alongside SDLC and agile practices to support accurate data governance and operational efficiency. This position plays a key role in safeguarding data quality enabling informed decision-making and driving compliance with industry standards.
Software Requirements
Required Skills:
- Familiarity with data management and governance tools (e.g. Collibra Informatica)
- Proficiency in scripting or programming languages such as Python Java or (intermediate to advanced)
- Experience with data quality tools and validation frameworks
- Knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodologies (e.g. Scrum)
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS Azure GCP) for data storage and processing
- Knowledge of IoT blockchain or mobile platform integrations
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau Power BI)
Overall Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain data quality standards across multiple platforms and systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and design solutions for ensuring data accuracy and compliance
- Identify and resolve data discrepancies inconsistencies and anomalies in a timely manner
- Develop and update technical documentation data workflows and validation procedures
- Conduct data audits and quality assessments ensuring alignment with regulatory and industry standards
- Support the implementation of new data management tools including configuration testing and deployment
- Stay updated with emerging technology trends (cloud IoT blockchain) and assess their application to improve data governance processes
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for data-related issues ensuring data security and privacy compliance

Technical Skills (By Category)
Programming Languages (Required):

- Experience with emerging technologies such as cloud IoT or blockchain integration for data systems preferred
- Industry experience in finance healthcare or regulated industries advantageous
- Practical experience conducting data audits implementing data standards and collaborating with technical and business teams
Day-to-Day Activities
- Daily review of data quality dashboards and reports to identify anomalies
- Collaborate with IT data engineers and business teams to define data standards and controls
- Conduct data validation cleansing and reconciliation procedures
- Develop execute and improve data quality scripts or workflows
- Document data processes and validation rules for audit and compliance purposes
- Participate in daily stand-ups planning sessions and cross-team meetings
- Support infrastructure enhancements involving cloud or blockchain data platforms
- Troubleshoot data issues coordinate with technical teams to resolve incidents
Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Information Technology Data Science or similar field
- Certifications in data management data governance or relevant technology (e.g. CDMP DAMA) preferred
- Extensive experience in data quality validation and management frameworks
- Knowledge of compliance standards relevant to data (e.g. GDPR HIPAA industry-specific regulations)
