On offer is a salary of circa 28000 plus an attractive benefits package including contributory pension and ongoing professional development.
As an Accounts Assistant you will be:
Processing sales and purchase invoices promptly and accurately
Reconciling credit card statements and supplier statements
Managing credit control and following up outstanding customer balances
Running payment schedules for contractors and suppliers
Communicating with clients and suppliers to resolve invoicing or payment queries
Posting month-end journals (accruals prepayments depreciation) and assisting with VAT returns
Preparing and contributing to monthly financial reports and schedules
To be successful in this Accounts Assistant role you will ideally have/be:
Proficient in Excel with experience of accounting software (Sage advantageous)
Part-qualified (AAT) or studying towards an accounting qualification
Strong organisational skills with an ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
Confident communicator comfortable liaising with internal and external stakeholders
