Your Responsibilities:
Independent management of day-to-day accounting
Recording verifying and classifying incoming and outgoing invoices
Reconciling accounts and handling bank transactions
Contributing to the preparation of monthly quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB (German Commercial Code)
Assisting with tax reporting such as VAT returns
Collaborating with external tax advisors and auditors
Supporting the development and optimization of accounting processes
Preparation and monitoring of the budget for the German project
Analyzing budget variances and supporting the development of measures for cost control and optimization
Integrating budgeting processes into ongoing financial accounting and annual financial statement preparation
Your Profile:
Completed commercial training with further education as a certified accountant (IHK) or a degree in finance/accounting
Several years of professional experience in financial accounting ideally with experience in budgeting and financial planning
Solid knowledge of German commercial and tax law
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. DATEV SAP) and MS Office especially Excel
Strong analytical skills a structured working style and ability to work in a team
Fluent in German both written and spoken; English proficiency is a plus
