Job Description
Madden Industrial Craftsmen is looking to fill for an Industrial Service Technician role for their client located in Portland who specializes in industrial and petroleum products.
Pay Range: $26.00 to $35.00/hour DOE
Job Type: Temporary (3 months) with potential for temp-to-hire
SHIFT:
Mon - Fri
7:30am - 4:00pm
Position Overview
An experienced Industrial Service Technician with a strong mechanical and technical background in pumps and industrial equipment. This role involves both in-house and field repair work with a focus on quality safety and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Disassemble inspect and repair industrial pumps; list and source necessary parts.
Read and interpret prints wiring diagrams and schematics.
Maintain a strong working knowledge of operation and parts manuals.
Continuously learn about a broad range of pump types and related equipment.
Educate customers on replacement parts and product maintenance.
Collaborate closely with service technicians and sales staff.
Travel to customer sites; occasional overnight travel required.
Overtime may be needed to meet deadlines.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required.
2 years of experience in pump repair or related technical service preferred.
Strong troubleshooting decision-making and customer service skills.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents in English.
Computer proficiency (Word Excel Outlook; internet navigation).
Self-motivated detail-oriented and capable of working independently or on a team.
Reliable punctual and committed to a safety-first ownership-focused culture.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
