In collaboration with the NCFTA Artistic Director and co-principal investigators this position involves leadership and oversight of the Nurturing Childhood Faith Through the Arts (NCFTA) initiative.
Essential Functions
- The Project Director will oversee and manage all operations budgets website development and personnel pertaining to biblical and theological activities and events.
- The Project Director will oversee logistics for each Seminar & Workshop Experience or event.
- This role will also oversee and manage all aspects related to Cohort of Participating Congregations including: sub-grants peer-learning assessments and evaluations.
- The Project Director will oversee grant reporting including narrative and budget reports.
- This role will also collaborate with the Artistic Director to oversee and lead Seminar & Workshop Experiences curriculum development as well as strategic collaborations and partnerships.
- This position is grant-funded through Lilly Endowment Inc and is set to fund from the date-of-hire (sometime in 2025) until the expiration of the grant cycle. The NCFTA Initiative grant project is set to expire on June 30 2029 upon which time the employee contract will be terminated. In the event of grant renewal a contract extension may be offered pending review and approval by Principal Investigators and exemplary performance on the job.
- For qualified candidates this part-time Project Director position has the potential to become a full-time position involving teaching and faculty responsibilities with Bethel Universitys Religion & Philosophy Department.
Responsibilities
- Prioritize and create environments conducive to the spiritual transformation of children and all NCFTA initiative participants
- Collaboration with Cohort churches providing support for sub-grants and providing regular points of contact throughout the year for grant project leaders
- Facilitates networking and recruitment of NCFTA initiative participants
- Manage all details related to the execution of well-run events and programs
- Support marketing efforts for all grant-related events
- Work in collaboration with the Project Director Principal Investigators and BU staff to ensure that all activities events and special programs make satisfactory progress toward NCFTAs Outcomes and Performance Indicators
- Development of appropriate assessment strategies ensuring quantitative and qualitative data collection for NCFTA events and activities; this will include data collection from participating grant Cohort churches
- Manage the budget for all programs seeking sustainability through good stewardship of expenditures and seeking increased revenue
- Ability to travel for peer-learning grant-related research collaborations marketing etc.
- Recommend to the NCFTA Principal Investigators any solutions related to improving the programs of the initiative
- Directly oversee the hiring training and work of staffing and programs related to NCFTA
- Attend to and maintain all priorities outlined by the grant narrative
- Performs other duties as assigned by Principal Investigators

Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Masters Degree or equivalent education and experience
- If a full-time position involving is offered a Ph.D. or equivalent education is required
- Organizational leadership experience

- Able to work independently organized detail-oriented cheerful flexible and willing to follow instructions both verbal and written.

Physical Requirements
- Physical capability to lift equipment up to 30lbs and push heavy equipment on castors (less than 200lb)
