Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Saw Operator to join our Foundry Team to cut metals to specifications using industrial saws. This role is essential in ensuring high-quality products by accurately cutting metal components and maintaining equipment for optimal performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate band saws circular saws and other cutting equipment to process metal castings.
- Read and interpret work orders blueprints and measurements to ensure precise cuts.
- Inspect materials before and after cutting to ensure quality standards are met.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of saws and work area.
- Follow all safety guidelines and wear required protective equipment.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to meet production goals.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a foundry or manufacturing environment preferred.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and measurements.
- Comfortable working in a hot physically demanding environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety procedures.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for long periods.
