Overview

We have an immediate need for an Environmental Permit- Assistant Project Manager based inPearl River NY for our client the NYS Office of General Services (OGS).

Recently Global Infrastructure Solutions Inc. (GISI) the parent company of The LiRo Group and Hill International Inc. consolidated a portion of the highly experienced staff of both LiRo and Hill in the Northeast to create a larger more efficient and cost-effective team to serve clients. LiRo-Hill is a 1100-person firm with offices in NYC Long Island Buffalo Rochester Boston and Metro Park NJ.

Responsibilities

Environmental Permit- Assistant Project Manager

  • Assist Project Manager with Tracking and coordination of permit timelines to meet project needs
  • Oversee upcoming and future projects where environmental review or compliance with regulatory or environmental regulations will require processing of permits
  • Assist with coordination and outreach for environmental impact assessments such as NEP SEQRA
  • Gather documents for Environmental Impact Statements (EISs) Environmental Assessments (EAs) and other documents associated with projects
  • Manage consultant deliverables for environmental aspects of State projects
  • Participate in project meetings with department staff consultants and environmental regulatory and advisory agencies and assist with preparation of written communication/notices. Work closely with the US Fish and Wildlife Service US Army Corps of Engineers NYS Department of State and NYS Office of General Services regarding permit applications with which they are also involved.

Qualifications

  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Ability to manage various projects using established controls and procedures
  • Candidate must have a degree from an accredited college in Environmental Science or Planning Architecture Engineering Construction Management or related program is preferred but not required.
  • Experience coordinating with designers
  • Minimum of one (1) years of experience in SEQR or Army Corp Permitting a Master Degree may substitute for one year of experience.

  • Compensation: $55000 - $68000
  • The range provided is the salary that the Firm in good faith believes at the time of this posting is willing to pay for the advertised position.

Exact compensation will be determined on the individual candidates qualifications and location

  • The selected candidate must be authorized to work in the United States; Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
