Central Operations is a 24/7 operation that develops and executes scalable solutions to run the increasingly complex and growing delivery network. As an Area Manager at Central Operations you will lead a team of Leads and associates to drive shift performance for AMZL. Central Operations supports specialty businesses operating in the last mile delivery domain . You will be responsible for driving process execution and efficiency through data-driven decisions and analytical problem-solving. Additional duties include coaching and mentoring the team to ensure performance objectives are met building positive employee relations and establishing leadership bench strength within the organization.
Responsibilities
-Responsible for tactical execution of operations for multiple AMZL businesses and network centralization efforts.
-Lead and supervise a team of Leads and up to 50 hourly associates. Develop line leaders for career progression.
-Create and nurture recognition and communication programs to establish a great work culture.
-Deep dive intra-day trends and proactively develop action plans systems and mechanisms that address operational issues in coordination with Central and Field Operations teams.
-Takes proactive steps to ensure that best practices are scalable and can be applied worldwide throughout the AMZL network.
- 1 years of employee and performance management experience
- Bachelors degree or equivalent or 2 years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area including weekends nights and/or holidays
- Can push and pull wheeled dollies loaded with products up to 100 pounds during shifts
- 1 years of performance metrics process improvement or lean techniques experience
