Job Description

We are looking for a Technical Admin Officer to join our Bereavement Services team. This is a great opportunity to support bereaved families with dignity and professionalism while ensuring the smooth operation of our essential services.

Are you a compassionate detail-oriented professional with strong administrative skills Do you want to make a meaningful difference in peoples lives during their most difficult times

What Youll Be Doing

  • Providing comprehensive administrative and technical support in the Bereavement Office.
  • Managing burial and cremation records using bespoke software.
  • Liaising with funeral directors stone masons and the public with empathy and professionalism.
  • Processing memorial orders payments and permits.
  • Supporting front-line reception duties and handling sensitive enquiries with care.

What Were Looking For

  • Strong administrative experience and excellent IT skills (Microsoft Office bespoke systems).
  • Ability to interpret legal documentation and apply relevant legislation.
  • Excellent customer care skills especially when dealing with bereaved or vulnerable individuals.
  • A calm respectful and flexible approach to work.
  • Knowledge of GDPR and experience handling sensitive information.

Youll be part of a small supportive team making a real impact in the community. We offer a respectful and inclusive work environment opportunities for development and the chance to contribute to a vital public service.

Your working hours will be 37 hours week and an element of flexibility is required to meet the needs of the service.
