Animal Feed Trader

Contract: Permanent

Hours of Work: 40 hours per week - Monday to Friday

Salary: Salaries will be dependent on skills and experience to be discussed on application

Location: This is a hybrid role working between home and a commutable distance from our Coylton Mill site with regular presence required in and around Mole Valley Farmers

Mole Valley Feed Solutions is looking for a dynamic and commercially minded Alternative Feeds Trader to join our expert team. Reporting to the Trading Manager youll play a key role in driving volume and margin through the trading of alternative feeds.

About this role:

• Providing advice and support to farmers to enable them to make informed purchasing decisions
• Trade alternative feeds such as soya rape wheat and barley to our farming customer base
• Support the sales of the added value and processed grain products such as fats & caustic wheat
• Building longstanding relationships with our customers suppliers and field sales team
• Proactively seek new customers through regular prospecting
• Liaising with our suppliers to ensure our customers receive the best possible pricing and service levels

For this role you will need:

• A keen interest to develop an understanding of the agricultural commodities market trends pricing and demand
• Passionate with a sound understanding of UK agriculture and terminology
• Drive and determination and comfortable working within a sales environment
• Previous experience working in an agricultural commercial environment or any relevant agricultural experience would be advantageous.
