A DAY IN THE LIFE:

Market Access & Reimbursement Manager(m/f/d) at Tandem Diabetes Care Germany is responsible for establishing and maintaining optimal reimbursement pathways for Tandems innovative insulin pump therapy products within the German healthcare system.

This role involves strategic engagement with statutory and private health insurers (GKV and PKV) as well as key stakeholders at both regional and federal levels.

Market Access & Reimbursement Manage will lead efforts to secure market entry shape reimbursement models and foster collaborative partnerships with payers ensuring alignment with current market dynamics and value-based healthcare trends.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Market Access Strategy Development

• Develop and execute comprehensive market access strategies to facilitate the reimbursement of Tandems medical devices across Germany.
• Lead pricing and reimbursement negotiations with statutory and private health insurers ensuring alignment with market access objectives.
• Establish and maintain strategic relationships with key payer accounts including health insurance providers and healthcare stakeholders.
• Monitor and analyze changes in healthcare policies reimbursement frameworks and market trends to inform strategic decisions.
• Stakeholder Engagement
• Build and sustain relationships with key stakeholders including payers government agencies and clinical decision-makers.
• Conduct meetings and presentations to articulate the clinical and economic value of Tandems insulin pump therapy products.
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop and present evidence demonstrating the cost-effectiveness and value of Tandems medical devices.
• Reimbursement Support
• Provides guidance and impact to coverage and payment pathways to facilitate product reimbursement.
• Works closely with internal teams to support reimbursement coding alignment understanding of processing pathway and provide support with payer challenges.
• Internal Collaboration
• Partner with Sales Marketing HEOR Medical Affairs and Regulatory teams to align market access strategies with broader business objectives.
• Provide guidance and support to internal teams and service partners on reimbursement coding and payment pathways.
• Serve as the internal expert and primary point of contact on all payer-related issues within the assigned region(s).
• Prepare and present regular reports on market access activities and outcomes to Sales Management.
• Product Knowledge and Market Strategy
• Monitor and report on regional healthcare policy developments payer trends and competitive landscape.
• Utilize market insights to adapt strategies and ensure alignment with regional needs.
• Advocate for the value of Tandems products to stakeholders including payers healthcare professionals and patients.

Knowledge skills & abilities:

• Experience in insulin pump therapy or diabetes care.
• Established network with key stakeholders in the German healthcare system.
• Strong analytical organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
• Skilled at fostering trust conveying in-depth knowledge and collaboration with diverse stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong understanding of the German healthcare system including the GKV and PKV frameworks.
• Fluency in German and English both written and spoken.
• Willingness to travel approximately 50% within Germany.
