Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses gowning gloves lab coat ear plugs etc.) Strong Odors (chemical lubricants biological products etc.)

Title: Peptone Manufacturing Operator

Shift: Union Midnight 3rd Shift // Sunday-Friday 11PM-7:30AM

Pay Rate: $24.70 with shift differential

Detroit Michigan/Biologicals & Chemicals Division

How Will You Make an Impact:

The Fine Chemicals Operator will perform manufacturing operations associated with the production of Fine Chemicals products.

A Day in the Life:

Setup run and clean resin bed filter press vacuum pan and pelletizer.

Perform clean room activities.

Collaborate with other team members and supervisors to ensure smooth production flow and timely completion of processes.

Record production data such as quantities produced and quality control measurements.

Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Perform autonomous maintenance and cleaning of machines to ensure optimal performance.

Adhere to company policies and procedures including maintaining a clean and organized work area.

Inspect finished products for defects or deviations from specifications.

Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and suggests ideas.

Other duties as assigned by a Supervisor

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:

Knowledge Skills Abilities:

  • No previous work experience required
  • Previous work experience in manufacturing operations production or lab setting or related field preferred.
  • Experience in a cGMP environment preferred

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

  • Ability to lift up to 25lbs
  • Must be able to work in wet and humid environments
