Job Description

Hamilton-Wenham Regional High School is seeking a long-term substitute teacher for the Therapeutic Learning Center (TLC) a special education program that serves students in grades 9-12. The students all participate in full inclusion general education classes with pull out academic support within the TLC classroom. The TLC special education teacher works closely with the programs LICSW to service the include:Providing small group academic and emotional support (focusing on IEP goals)Providing special education support in general education classesRunning/co-running annual IEP meetings for students on the caseloadParticipating in re-eval and initial IEP meetingsAdministering academic evaluations if applicableCommunicating with staffCommunicating with families and caregiversThe candidate should be familiar with students who have both emotional impairment and/or ASD and approach teaching through a trauma lens. Having a calm and patient demeanor is essential. The duration of this long-term assignment is August 25 2025 through November 14 2025.
