Job Description

Environmental Engineer - Industrial Mercury Emissions Monitoring Products and Services

Clean Air Engineering (CleanAir) is a leading global environmental engineering and consulting
company that has been in business since 1972. CleanAir s Advanced Monitoring Services team
located in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania and Palatine Illinois has an immediate opening for a full-time
entry-level Environmental Engineer to help grow its industrial monitoring products and services
business. The focus will be on applying CleanAir s mercury emissions monitoring solutions to
industrial sources worldwide.

Are you a person who embraces challenges and is not afraid to think outside the box Do you enjoy
tinkering and approaching a problem from multiple angles CleanAir is seeking a motivated
Engineer with this kind of mindset who wants to make a difference and help our clients achieve their
environmental goals by applying cutting-edge measurement technologies. The candidate must have
a degree in Engineering Science or a Related Field and will work closely with Project Managers to
implement specific project tasks. The candidate will perform as a member of a multidisciplinary
team of engineers and scientists in a flexible work environment.
The position is located in CleanAir s Palatine IL office and will involve the following key responsibilities:
  • Aid in installation operation and quality assurance of CleanAir s mercury emissions monitoring systems
  • Ongoing customer support
  • Participation in the development of new products and services
  • Client engagement to identify new opportunities
  • The candidate will work closely with Project Managers in implementing project tasks

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor s Degree in Engineering Science or Science-Related Field
  • 0-5 years of experience
  • Mechanical aptitude and curiosity to tinker
  • Experience in using hand tools volt meters and soldering irons
  • Effective written and verbal skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Willingness to travel to project locations in the US and globally
