Job Description

Environmental Engineer - Industrial Mercury Emissions Monitoring Products and Services

Clean Air Engineering (CleanAir) is a leading global environmental engineering and consulting

company that has been in business since 1972. CleanAir s Advanced Monitoring Services team

located in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania and Palatine Illinois has an immediate opening for a full-time

entry-level Environmental Engineer to help grow its industrial monitoring products and services

business. The focus will be on applying CleanAir s mercury emissions monitoring solutions to

industrial sources worldwide.

Are you a person who embraces challenges and is not afraid to think outside the box Do you enjoy

tinkering and approaching a problem from multiple angles CleanAir is seeking a motivated

Engineer with this kind of mindset who wants to make a difference and help our clients achieve their

environmental goals by applying cutting-edge measurement technologies. The candidate must have

a degree in Engineering Science or a Related Field and will work closely with Project Managers to

implement specific project tasks. The candidate will perform as a member of a multidisciplinary

team of engineers and scientists in a flexible work environment.

The position is located in CleanAir s Palatine IL office and will involve the following key responsibilities:

Aid in installation operation and quality assurance of CleanAir s mercury emissions monitoring systems
Ongoing customer support
Participation in the development of new products and services
Client engagement to identify new opportunities
The candidate will work closely with Project Managers in implementing project tasks

Qualifications:

Bachelor s Degree in Engineering Science or Science-Related Field
0-5 years of experience
Mechanical aptitude and curiosity to tinker
Experience in using hand tools volt meters and soldering irons
Effective written and verbal skills
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Strong attention to detail
Willingness to travel to project locations in the US and globally
