Job Description
Our client is a leading Nigerian-owned technology company specializing in smart energy solutions metering systems and power distribution infrastructure. The Program Director (WEF) will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and oversight for initiatives supporting women entrepreneurs. The ideal candidate will focus on driving program expansion securing sustainable funding fostering high-level partnerships and ensuring impactful delivery of programs aligned with organizational goals. The program director will also shape policies enhance stakeholder engagement and lead a team to execute innovative strategies for womens economic empowerment.
Summary of Responsibilities
Program Strategy & Design
- Design and lead the development of innovative programs aligned with WEF s mission and strategic goals.
- Ensure program design reflects current trends community needs and impact best practices
Program Operations & Management
- Oversee day-to-day program operations including planning budgeting execution and monitoring.
- Ensure timely delivery of program milestones and compliance with organizational standards
- Implement systems for effective program coordination across teams and regions.
Monitoring Evaluation & Reporting
- Monitor and evaluate program outcomes using data-driven approaches
- Produce impact reports and dashboards for internal leadership donors and partners
- Incorporate feedback and learnings to improve program quality and scale.
Partnership & Stakeholder Engagement
- Develop and manage strategic partnerships with NGOs government bodies corporate sponsors and community organizations
- Represent WEF at conferences coalitions and external forums to promote advocacy and collaboration
Team Leadership & Capacity Building
- Build and lead a high performing program team fostering an inclusive and collaborative culture
- Provide coaching mentorship and performance management to support staff
Resource Mobilization & Fundraising
- Lead grant writing proposal development and collaboration with the fundraising/development team
- Support donor engagement through reporting presentations and relationship management
Governance Compliance & Ethics
- Ensure that programs adhere to legal ethical and regulatory standards
- Maintain alignment with WEF s internal policies mission and gender equity principles

Requirements
- Bachelors or masters degree in economics Business Administration Social Sciences International Development or related fields.
- Minimum of 10 years experience in program leadership preferably in NGOs development projects or economic empowerment initiatives.
- Strong background in program scaling fundraising and policy advocacy.
- Proven experience in high-level strategic planning and program management.
- Strong ability to mobilize resourcesengage donors and secure funding
- Expertise in womens economic empowerment entrepreneurship and social impact programs
- Exceptional leadership communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience in liasing with government agencies multinational organizations and private sector partners
