Job Description
Job Title: Data Risk Analyst
Location: New York NY 110832 (Hybrid)
Duration: 6 Months with possible extension/conversion
Job Overview:
The candidate will support the Equities Business Control Team within the Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) division. This role is focused on complex data risk assessments and regulatory remediation efforts. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in operational risk data analysis and regulatory reporting with the ability to support strategic initiatives with broad organizational impact.
Candidates need to have:
- 5 years of experience in Business Strategic Planning Regulatory Remediation or related fields.
- Demonstrated background in financial services particularly in Corporate & Investment Banking.
- Strong understanding of operational risk and data management principles.
- Hands-on experience in large-scale regulatory reporting projects (e.g. 2052a Y-14 FRB reporting).
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (including PivotTables VLOOKUPs and Macros) and PowerPoint.
- Experience handling large complex datasets and multi-tab spreadsheets.
- Background in data movement enrichment or change management initiatives.
- Familiarity with enterprise data governance standards data quality frameworks and risk control implementations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Analyze complex multi-faceted operational risk data to identify gaps inefficiencies and improvement opportunities across business controls.
- Ensure CIB compliance with enterprise data policies procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Support regulatory remediation initiatives especially those involving data movement enrichment and change management.
- Investigate and resolve data quality issues and drive continuous improvement in data governance processes.
- Identify and assess key and emerging risks design controls and recommend mitigation strategies to minimize data management risk.
- Track and report on project milestones performance metrics and risk mitigation efforts to senior stakeholders.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with CIB data management technology business stakeholders and horizontal service teams to execute data management deliverables.
- Assist in the implementation of preventative and detective controls across data sourcing conformance and distribution layers.
- Prepare and present findings analyses and recommendations using PowerPoint and Excel-based reporting.
