Job Description
Warehouse & Inventory Lead
Location: Lake in the Hills IL
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
Compensation: $23.00/hr
AFC is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse & Inventory Lead to direct and coordinate receiving and warehouse operations according to established procedures. This role is critical to ensuring inventory accuracy workplace safety and team efficiency.
What Youll Do
- Supervise receiving and warehouse functions to meet quality and procedural standards.
- Assign daily tasks and coordinate with managers and other supervisors to align resources and schedules.
- Train new and existing staff on warehouse procedures and safety protocols.
- Assist in developing and enforcing inventory management policies and work instructions.
- Operate material handling equipment (lift trucks pallet jacks) to move load and unload goods safely.
- Oversee incoming shipmentsverify counts part numbers and product quality; complete receiving transactions accurately.
- Inspect freight for damage and report issues to appropriate parties; manage and resolve freight claims.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs to buyers and planners.
- Conduct inventory cycle counts and support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate inventory transactions in the ERP system.
- Promote a positive collaborative team culture while ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities in warehouse operations.
- Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with all safety protocols.
What Youll Bring
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (or team-lift up to 100 lbs)
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn internal systems
- Forklift experience
- Prior manufacturing or coating experience a plus
