Warehouse & Inventory Lead

Location: Lake in the Hills IL

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Compensation: $23.00/hr


AFC is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse & Inventory Lead to direct and coordinate receiving and warehouse operations according to established procedures. This role is critical to ensuring inventory accuracy workplace safety and team efficiency.


What Youll Do

  • Supervise receiving and warehouse functions to meet quality and procedural standards.
  • Assign daily tasks and coordinate with managers and other supervisors to align resources and schedules.
  • Train new and existing staff on warehouse procedures and safety protocols.
  • Assist in developing and enforcing inventory management policies and work instructions.
  • Operate material handling equipment (lift trucks pallet jacks) to move load and unload goods safely.
  • Oversee incoming shipmentsverify counts part numbers and product quality; complete receiving transactions accurately.
  • Inspect freight for damage and report issues to appropriate parties; manage and resolve freight claims.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs to buyers and planners.
  • Conduct inventory cycle counts and support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate inventory transactions in the ERP system.
  • Promote a positive collaborative team culture while ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities in warehouse operations.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with all safety protocols.

What Youll Bring

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (or team-lift up to 100 lbs)
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn internal systems
  • Forklift experience
  • Prior manufacturing or coating experience a plus
