The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity awaits a passionate and driven researcher to join the Medicinal Chemistry Theme at the Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences as a Research Fellow. This role offers the chance to be at the forefront of innovation in chemical biology with a focus on developing cutting-edge tools for molecular sensing and imaging.

Under the guidance of Dr. Amandeep Kaur you will contribute to a vibrant research program centered on the design and development of novel fluorescent probes for super-resolution imaginga powerful technique revolutionizing how we visualize biological systems at the molecular level.

As a Research Fellow you will:

  • join a cutting-edge team where your expertise will drive the development of next-generation fluorescent probes and transformative sensing technologies.
  • engineer novel fluorescent probes through advanced design synthesis purification and characterisation techniques.
  • perform high-resolution fluorescence microscopy experiments that unveil the unseen.
  • analyse complex data to uncover insights and pioneer new strategies for molecular sensing and imaging.

Were looking for someone who brings:

  • A PhD in chemical biology organic chemistry or a related field
  • Proven experience in synthesis and validation of small molecules. Experience in fluorescent probe development will be highly regarded
  • Experience with fluorescence microscopy techniques. Familiarity with super-resolution imaging is a strong plus
