  • COORDINATOR II AFTERSCHOOL ATHLETICS
    QUALIFICATIONS:
    1. Valid California administrative services credential
    2. Knowledge experience and recognized training related to youth sports recreation and program coordination
    3. Knowledge and experience in physical education
    4. Experience developing and conducting professional development and training
    5. Ability to prepare reports maintain records interpret and explain laws and procedures evaluate data and make decisions and recommendations
    6. Ability to communicate effectively and provide leadership and direction 7
    7. Ability to work effectively and maintain positive relationships with employees students parents and other individuals outside the District
    8. Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
    9. Valid California drivers license and personal car for use on District business

    REPORTS TO: Administrator as assigned


    JOB GOAL: To coordinate and manage district afterschool sports programs ensuring they are engaging safe and inclusive for all participants including planning coordinating and implementing a variety of sports activities that promote physical fitness
    teamwork and positive social interaction among students


    PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
    1. Coordinates operations of Districts after-school sports program including scheduling games and officials game management and safety; maintains data related to federal and state requirements for Title IX
    2. Schedules practices games and events in alignment with school policies
    3. Supervises students during sports activities maintaining a safe andsupportive environment
    4. Assists in planning writing and evaluating of the physical educationlessons taught in the academy program
    5. Evaluates certificated and classified staff
    6. Enforces safety protocols and responds to emergencies
    7. Enforces proper maintenance and use of equipment
    8. Conducts regular meetings with coaches; educating them about districtsports handbook and ensure adherence to guidelines
    9. Communicates with employees parents and community membersregarding sports
    10. Maintains records prepares and submits reports as required by law and asdirected
    11. Models personal and professional values of equity integrity caring collaboration personal and collective accountability
    12. Performs other related duties as assigned

    SALARY: $149813 - $181292 Annually 223 days
    (max salary includes longevity & education stipends)


    MINIMUM APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:

    CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

    Some positions may require proof of privately owned automobile insurance and the possession of a valid California Motor Vehicle operators license. Fingerprint clearance by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the California Department of Justice is a condition of appointment after all other required job conditions have been met. Must present verification of completion of Child Abuse Mandated Reporter training or obtain verification within six (6) weeks of hire and annually thereafter as required by the California Child Abuse Neglect Reporting Act.
