Job Description Summary
Under the direction and supervision of the PI the research assistant will provide research support to ongoing projects and grants related to cognitive neuroscience. Responsibilities include but are not limited to performing various research-related activities; data entry; conducting literature reviews and compiling findings; maintaining project-related documentation and records; assisting with participant recruitment trainings and behavioral assessments; gathering EEG TMS eye-tracking and other neural and behavioral data; analyzing data; writing up presentations and manuscripts.
Responsibilities
Research & Writing Support Independently performing various research-related activities Conducting literature reviews and compiling findings Maintaining project-related documentation and records Writing up presentations and manuscripts Lab Support & Data Analysis Mentoring undergraduate students Organizing and presiding over undergraduate lab meetings Assisting with participant recruitment trainings and behavioral assessments Gathering and analyzing EEG TMS eye-tracking and other neural and behavioral data
Required Qualifications
BA/BS degree in psychology health sciences cognitive science philosophy neuroscience or similar background and experience 2 years of prior research experience including knowledge of research methods and terminology Demonstrated experience in data collection and data entry Demonstrated analytical skills: define problems by performing research and fact finding Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing Working knowledge of Excel. Experience working with Qualtrics Mechanical Turk Prolific or similar survey software Willingness to work as a supportive cooperative member of an interdisciplinary team Experience with or strong willingness to learn programming Ability to work independently
