Job Description

A well-established engineering company is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer / Service Technician / Maintenance Engineer to cover the UK.

As a Field Service Engineer / Service Technician / Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for installing fault finding trouble shooting and repairing CNC machine tool equipment.

The ideal Field Service Engineer / Service Technician / Maintenance Engineer will be based in the Midlands electrically biased and have experience in service or test environments. We are looking for candidates with backgrounds in field service in-house repair or component-level bench testing with strong skills in electrical testing circuitry diagnostics and fault finding.

Role

  • Provide on-site service support for CNC machine tools and control systems at customer sites across the UK / Ireland
  • Electrical testing circuitry diagnostics and fault finding / resolution down to component level
  • Collaborate with internal teams for escalated or complex troubleshooting
  • Carry out bench-based fault analysis and testing
  • Document service activities clearly and accurately
  • Support customers remotely
  • Midlands based with travel across the UK with occasional overnight stays

Requirements

  • Engineering degree advantageous but not essential
  • Previous experience in service testing or diagnostics roles
  • Strong electrical fault-finding skills including circuitry testing and electronic diagnostics
  • Familiarity with control systems; CNC experience beneficial but not essential
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Must be based in the Midlands
