Job Description
Commissionaires BC is currently looking for security professionals to work at the Kelowna International Airport (YLW). As a Security Officer some responsibilities include curbside traffic control cart collection and continuous foot patrol.
Shifts available:
- Monday - Friday 7am - 3pm
- Saturday & Sunday 7am - 3pm
- Monday - Friday 4pm - 12am
- Saturday & Sunday 4pm - 12am
Wage: $22/hour
Some of your responsibilities include:
- Curbside traffic control
- Cart collection
- Offering first class customer service to both clients and general public
- Interior and exterior patrols
- Access Control
- CCTV Monitoring
- Proactively responding to and resolving emergency situations and conflicts
- Maintaining detailed and accurate daily logs and incident reports
- Effectively communicating problems or concerns to the Site Supervisor
Your Must-Haves:
- BC Security License
- Basic Security Training (BST)
- Clear criminal record with ability to obtain airport clearances: RAIC and AVOP
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Able towork under pressure
- Physically fit able to stand for long periods and work both indoors and outdoors in a range of weather conditions
Your Nice-To-Haves:
- Valid BC Class 5 Drivers License with a clean drivers abstract
- You have resided in Canada for the last five years
- Hold Basic or Intermediate First Aid (OFA 1 or 2)
- Moderate computer skills
