We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Welfare Safeguarding and Family Services Officer to join our team at an exciting point in our new schools journey. As we approach the end of our third year we are excited to offer this opportunity to join a rapidly developing special school which was opened by Unity Schools Partnership multi-academy trust in September 2022.
At this exciting time for the school we are looking for individuals with a passion for SEN to join our friendly hardworking team and make an impact on the welfare of our students and their families. The successful applicant will need to be organised flexible responsive and prepared to assist with an ever-changing welfare and safeguarding landscape.
Sir Peter Hall School is a growing school educating children and young people between the ages of 9 - 16 who have a wide range of social emotional and mental health needs. Many of the pupils have additional special educational needs and all pupils have Education Health and Care Plans. The school serves a catchment area that covers Bury St Edmunds and surrounding areas of Suffolk and beyond. The school is part of a collaborative forward thinking Academy Trust. Unity Schools Partnership have created a network of special schools working together and we have recently been approved to open further specialist provision in the future.
You will be supported in your role by experienced leaders who will be available to offer advice and guidance as the school moves forward under their leadership. Significant training and development is available through opportunities for professional development research trust safeguarding team and collaboration between schools and across phases.
