As a Board Member you will play a pivotal role in shaping a values-led organisation making a tangible impact across the communityfrom aged care and disability support to education and social justice initiatives. This is a skills-based Board which undertakes its governance role across the Diocese including its entities and agencies. You will be part of a diverse committed group of 13 leaders working together for a shared mission. This is a paid position.
What you will contribute:
- Provide strategic leadership and governance across a broad portfolio of services.
- Monitor organisational performance compliance and risk.
- Review and interpret financial reports and ensure financial sustainability.
- Participate in the development and oversight of strategic plans.
- Promote ethical and transparent governance including safeguarding policies.
- Support the organisations mission and values in all board activities.
- Foster a culture of collaboration accountability and continuous improvement.
- Contribute expertise and insights without becoming involved in day-to-day operations.
Time Commitment:
- Attend monthly board meetings in Booragul NSW (in person is required with occasional hybrid options)
- Participate in board induction and ongoing formation activities
- Engage in committee work or advisory panels as required
- Approximate commitment: 812 hours/month
