Description of the Position: (Purpose of the Position): The Sculpture Shopkeeper monitors the Wood and Metalworking Sculpture Studios to ensure a safe working environment for students while maintaining a safe clean and organized shop space.
Transferable Skills:
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor student safety in Wood and Metalworking Studios
- Check in and out tools and equipment
- Organize and tidy equipment and spaces
- Provide light assistance and support to students
- Assist with tasks identified by the Art Department Studio Technician
Qualifications: (Education/Experience/Skills)
- Shopkeepers must have taken the 3D Foundations course at St. Olaf before working as a Sculpture Shopkeeper.
- This position requires promptness attention to detail and safety consciousness.
- Knowledge and experience with woodworking and metalworking tools and processes.
